Hi, I’m Georgie

And I believe the future is… HUMAN. I’m on a mission to help design and build a human future - one meaningful conversation, connection and community at a time.

As well as being a conversation addict, I’m a lifelong explorer, learner and designer. I’ve spent the last decade getting curious and asking questions, seeking growth and ideas through experiences and modalities, and smiling at strangers!

I wear many hats and am constantly discovering more I might like to wear: Project Manager, ICF-accredited coach, community builder, entrepreneur, facilitator, experience designer and I’m currently a PhD design researcher and consultant (focusing on human connection design at Imperial College London).

My ideas have been inspired by Philosophy, Applied Linguistics and Psychology, Life Coaching, Mediation, NLP, Non Violent Communication, Authentic Relating & Circling, Vipassana Meditation, Embodied Consciousness & Spirituality, Internal Family Systems, Improvisation Theatre, Zouk Dancing and more.

Do we want to be 'more' connected or 'better' connected?

In May 2018, I got the amazing opportunity of standing in front of 260 people at TEDxGoodenoughCollege and talk about the challenges of having same meaningless conversations on repeat, how we are not just our jobs, how conversations can change the way you see the world and how by talking to strangers you belong everywhere and anywhere, not just with friends and family.

My 5 tips for having a meaningful conversation with a stranger: Be the lighthouse |  Be curious |  Shut up |  Ask great questions | Share the real you

“Georgie is one of the few people I’ve met with a natural ability to speak on a stage. She draws the crowd in with natural pauses that let the audience feel, and questions that force them to think introspectively."

— Simon (TEDx Goodenough College, Speaker Manager)

My Story Over the Years

What Makes My Work Different?

I’m not your typical person and many of my ideas, and how I live my life are not conventional. We only have one life, and it's up to us to choose to live it meaningfully and impactfully. Here are some of my beliefs and approaches.

🪂 Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The fear of unfamiliarity you experience is a signal that the potential for growth is near.

🤔 Follow your curiosity. A day without discovery is a day wasted. Experiences lead to experiences, weaving the tapestry of self further. The dots will connect later.

💥You are both the way and in the way. Cultivate deep self-awareness. Learn about yourself - your strengths, your subconscious patterns, your challenges, your parts - to create a winning mindset.

🔑 Great relationships unlock everything and strangers are all potential friends. Life happens through our connections so the more you can master relationship building, the more access you’ll have to new opportunities, new ideas and perspectives, and access to more people and more potential.

👯‍♀️ Every relationship starts with a conversation. The more self-aware you can become about your patterns, and the more you can learn to adapt your conversational style to others, the easier it will be to meaningfully connect with anyone, anywhere.

🔍 Everyone is both weird and interesting. It’s not up to them to prove it but up to you to discover it in them. Put your curiosity hat on!

🧠 You are not your thoughts. Learn to distinguish between sensations arising, thoughts and stories.

😶‍🌫️ Our emotions make us human. They make the tapestry of life rich and meaningful. They also give us deep wisdom and can help direct us to living a life in tune with our needs and values. Learn to connect and feel them fully.

🎈Most things are possible. Keenness, persistence and determination will help you find a way.

🗣Don’t wait for permission to speak or act. I have a voice. You have a voice. We all have voices. Choose yourself.

🤗 You aren’t one self; you’re made up of many parts that have their own needs, stories and feelings. Learn to unblend from these parts and become aware of which ones are driving your ship.

🌈 Be your full authentic self - bringing in your head, heart and gut - and others will follow you.

🥳 Make things fun and enjoyable, and you won’t ever need to rely on extrinsic motivation.

❤️ Celebrate frequently to reinforce habits, deepen self-love and feel the fullness of our work. Lack of celebration will lead to relentless dissatisfaction and cravings for more.

✏️ Create systems and routines, not just goals. Consistent actions create cumulative gains. Make it easy.
